• Raw materials including cereal flour, vegetable proteins, minerals, vitamins, and optionally meat or fish flour are processed
• Dry ingredients enter the pre-conditioner for steam hydration with counter-rotary twin shaft blending for optimal mixing
• Partial gelatinization of starches and texturing of polymers occurs during preconditioning
• The mixture feeds into the twin-screw extruder with precise control of shearing, temperature, pressure, moisture, and residence times
